Default whats the big deal about req. levels on weapons???

i do alot of research and buying and selling on this game, and have noticed that weapons with lower requirement levels sell for a ton more, as well as are more wanted...

so i thought to myself...why is this??

i did some research on some of the guides this website has to offer and found out that after attrib lvl 12, the dmg gained per level is less than half than an attribute level increase before lvl 12.

so for example, according to the guide, if my marksman ship is at lvl 11, i do 91% dmg of my bow, if lvl 12, i do 100% dmg, and if lvl 13 i do 104% dmg.

so as seen here, the additional dmg added from lvl 11 to 12 is more than 2 times the additional dmg given from lvl 12-13.

is this why req levels are such a big deal?

thanks alot, any input or opinions are welcome

Because some people don't want to invest 12 points into the attribute their weapon requires. Some peopl only want 8 points invested in it for the bow to do the displayed damage.

The lower the requirement, the more points you can spend on other attributes

may be, but do they not want to specialize for increased damage all together??

ive always lived by the rule of *specialize in few things* and your attribute level increases damage output on your bow anyways..

meh

Depends on how you really do damage. An example will be a farming W/Mo. Instead of having 12+ in his Axe/Sword, he will just want it to be in 8 or 9 so that he can have more points for Healing and Smite.

Another will be for a ranger/trapper. For trappers, Wilderness should be high so that means he will need to spend as less point as possible for his Markmanship.

You can wield a weapon that you dont meet the requirement of but you will do less damage with it than with a weapon that you actually meet the requirement of (assuming they have the same damage range, same mods, same everything except for the requirement)
